Xiaomi is all set to launch its latest Redmi Snapdragon 855 flagship smartphone tomorrow. Yet, they haven’t revealed the name of the smartphone. Earlier today Xiaomi’s Group Vice President, Lu Weibing went to Weibo asking netizens to choose a name for the upcoming Redmi Snapdragon 855 flagship device just a day before its launch.
The given names by Weibing are Redmi X20, Redmi P20, Redmi K20, and Redmi T20. The post reads “How should the Redmi flagship be named? We have also considered it for a long time. Here are some candidates for the name. Would you like to hear your opinions and feedback, is it the same as my heart? Tomorrow announced the name of the Redmi flagship[heart]”.
The device is expected to have a 6.39-inch Full AMOLED display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. Up front there’ll be a 20-megapixel pop-up selfie AI camera, while on the back it’ll have a triple rear camera setup with Sony’s IMX586 48MP primary sensor. Keeping everything running will be a 4,000mAh battery.
Perhaps the most important bit from the Lu Weibing is that the device will, in fact, have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Incredible, truly an innovation in this day and age. There will also be NFC support, as well what Lu Weibing claims is satisfactory battery life. Whatever the name will be, we’re definitely looking forward to tomorrow’s launch.
