Xiaomi has finally announced the Xiaomi Mi 9 UK release date, its mid-range flagship smartphone. The handset is already available in China, as well as several European countries including Italy and Spain, but we hadn’t heard of a UK launch until now.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 will be available in the UK from April 30 (big day for Mi), and you can get it from Vodafone as well as Mi.com and the Mi store in London. There are two available sizes of memory available – 64GB, which will cost £499, and 128GB, which will cost £549 – the only colour it’s launching in is black.
The only smartphone Xiaomi has pushed in the UK before this was the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro. This makes the Mi 9 the first flagship Mi device in the UK. If they manage to follows in the footsteps of fellow Chinese companies Huawei and OnePlus, the future for the company seems fairly bright.
