Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Go in India on March 19. The company has already sent media invites for a curtain-raiser event scheduled to take place on March 19th in Delhi. Now it has confirmed that the new smartphone will be launched exclusively on Flipkart.
The e-commerce website is now running a teaser hinting the availability of the device on the platform. Meanwhile, Redmi India has also been reasing the device’s launch. It basically confirms what we already know, like the device and its release date.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC that’s clocked at 1.4GHz, has 1GB of RAM, and offers just 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a built-in microSD card slot.
The display is a 5-inch HD display, while the cameras on the Redmi Go includes an 8MP main camera system at the rear and 5MP front-facing camera. Powering up the phone is a sizable 3000mAh battery. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition), as expected.
Connectivity options for the phone will include dual-SIM support, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and a micro-USB port. Sensors on board include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer. It is expected that the smartphone will be priced at around Rs 5,000 in India.
