Today India saw the first flash sale of the Redmi Note 7 Pro, but that isn’t all that’s going on. Over in China, Xiaomi is busy launching another variant of the Redmi Note 7 with 128GB of storage and some changes. So, let’s take a closer look at these changes.
The Chinese version of the device has a 48MP+5MP dual camera setup on the rear in comparison to the 12MP+2MP dual rear camera setup on the India variant. The sensor Xiaomi uses on it is a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL GM-1 sensor, more akin to the Redmi Note 7 Pro.
Other than that, roughly the same. It still comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, only now there’s 128GB of internal storage. There’s microSD card support to up to 256GB. It packs a 4,000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4, as well as a USB-C port.
Outside of the different dual camera setup, the Chinese Redmi Note 7 with 128GB storage is about identical to the Indian variant. Now it remains to be seen if Xiaomi will launch the latest 4GB RAM + 128GB Storage variant in India as well. For more news, stay tuned on Xiaomiphone.com.
