If you’re in India and on the fence on a new Mi A2, now might be the best time to get one. The device has just received a price cut from Rs. 13,999 to Rs. 11,999, a whole Rs. 2,000 pricecut. This only applies to the 4GB RAM/ 64GB model though, the rest are still the same.
Just as a refresher, the Mi A2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and a 3,000mAh battery. On the back we’ve got a 20MP+12MP dual camera and a 2MP front camera with an f/1.75 lens. There’s also support for QuickCharge 4.0 on board.
The device also comes as part of Google’s Android One programme. This means the devices ship with completely stock software instead of MIUI. Phones under Android One are also promised speedy updates and no bloatware.
What this could mean in the grand Xiaomi scheme, we’re not sure. It could mean that the Mi A2 is suffering from poorer sales, which makes sense considering the competition. On the other hand, the more expensive 6GB+64GB model got no cuts, which goes against the idea.
No matter what the reason, we’re quite happy that the Mi A2’s getting price cuts. Are you from India and planning to get a Mi A2? Perhaps you’ve already bought a Mi A2? Tell us your thoughts and opinions down in the comments section below.
