Xiaomi‘s recently been on quite the roll in India, and they’re not stopping any time soon. Xiaomi’s global VP Manu Jain has gone to Twitter to announce that the company has sold over 200,000 units of the Redmi Note 7 in its first sale in India. Quite the impressive feat, though not exactly anything new from Xiaomi.
#RedmiNote7: we had produced 200K+ units till this week, all of which went out of stock in just a few mins yesterday! 👊

The Global VP then gives us the date for the next flash sale, as well as promising more units will go on sale next. While it’s impressive, it’s easy to see why the company has managed to achieve this feat. The Redmi Note 7 is an extremely competitive device with its fantastic specs and affordable price tag. On top of that, you’ve got that 48MP camera as a selling point and it’s essentially a recipe for hotcakes.
The Redmi Note 7 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, paired with 32GB and 64GB of onboard storage. There’s microSD card support to up to 256GB. It packs a 4,000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4, as well as a USB-C port. The Redmi Note 7 price in India has been set at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, while its 4GB RAM and 64GB model is priced at Rs. 11,999.
