New and fresh rumors from China are suggesting that Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus will be announced this week. In just three days it will be the Singles’ Day in China (November 11), a day which is similar to Black Friday, full of deals for tech products. The company may exploit this event to launch its new cheap phones, and according to voices there may be at least a teaser in the next two days.
Luckily, the main specs of Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus have already leaked. They are tipped to have a bezel less display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The standard variant should have a 5.7 inch display with an HD resolution. The SoC may be the octa core Snapdragon 450 by Qualcomm, paired with at least 3 GB of RAM and a single camera with a 12 MP resolution. It is rumored to have a listing price of 899 Yuan, that is equivalent to about 135 dollars.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus may have a 5.99 inch display with a Full HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It should be powered by the octa core Snapdragon 625 processor and 3 or 4 GB of RAM depending on the variant. There should be a dual camera setup as well, with resolutions of 12 and 5 MP.
