Xiaomi is intentioned to set a new record: the company wants to reach 90 million phones shipped in 2017, and it is actually very close. Until this month, the company has shipped 90 million units all around the world, and just in the month of September, thanks to Diwali sales in India on Amazon India and Flipkart, the company has sold 10 million devices. The company is aiming to capture the first place as first smartphone brand in China.

Actually, the company is at the third place ahead of Oppo and Vivo and behind Huawei. According to Lei Jun, who is the CEO of Xiaomi, the company aims to definitely reach the first place in 2020. The most sold phone in the best markets (China and India) seems to be Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in 2017, followed by Xiaomi Mi6.

A few days ago Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has been launched in India, the best market for the company, and we did not see a flagship by the company in India since the Mi5. This highlights even more the intention of the company to ship more than 90 million it can in this year. Yesterday the new entry level Redmi 5A has been launched and it is already on the Chinese market at less than 100 euros.
