Roland Quandt is one of the most famous and reliable leaksters in the world if we talk about upcoming smartphones, he always reveals fresh and true info, and yesterday, through a post on the social network Twitter, he has talked about the Xiaomi Redmi 5 series. The leakster has unveiled some details about the configurations that will be available and the design of the phones. He has also unveiled that the new series will be available internationally from the start (for the first time), including select European countries.
This is great as it lets us understand that Xiaomi’s global expansion is growing every day more. According to Roland, Xiaomi Redmi 5A will be released with 16 GB of internal storage, Xiaomi Redmi 5 will have 16 or 32 GB of ROM depending on the variant that you will choose to buy, and Redmi 5 Plus will have 32 or 64 GB of internal storage. The most entry level version, which is the 5A, will be released in at least four colors: rose gold, gold, black and grey. The standard version will come in gold and black, while the Plus variant will be available in gold black and grey colors. The leakster has said that these are only the colors he can confirm are coming, so more options are possible.
No images have been published, even though a user has asked for them on Twitter. While we do not know much about the specs of Xiaomi Redmi 5 and 5 Plus, 5A has been already certified by TENAA, so we already know many of its specs. It will be released in two versions: one with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage and another with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB ROM. We do not know how much these phones will cost, but they will be cheap phones even if the price tag may increase compared to the last year.
