Xiaomi Redmi 5 and 5 Plus have been certified by the famous Chinese agency 3C, so their existence is confirmed. The devices have been certified with the codes MET7 and MEE7: the first should have a price tag in China of 699 Yuan, while the second should cost 999 Yuan. 3C did not reveal anything about the specs of the two next cheap phones by the Chinese company, but some rumors and a render surfaced.
The render shows the Plus variant and it shows an outstanding design. The device has a bezel less display which is not as outstanding as the one from Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, but it is still great. According to rumors Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus will be the first phone from the Redmi series to sport a display bigger than 5 inches: it is expected to come with a 5.7 inch screen that will have an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels.
The display of Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus will be IPS and there will be a high screen to body ratio. It may arrive in different configurations with the presence of 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 16 or 32 GB of internal storage. The SoC may be the octa core Snapdragon 450 by Qualcomm, one of the newest entry level processors. Expect a dual camera and a big battery as well.
