As it was officially teased by the company, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has been launched in the Indian market yesterday. It is a very important moment for the Chinese giant for two main reasons. The first is the fact that Xiaomi does not launch a flagshp in India since 2016, year in which it launched the Xiaomi Mi5 only; even though India is the most important market for the company (in terms of sales) together with China. The second reason is the fact that the company is going to establish a new record of sales this year, with more than 100 million units sold. And at this moment Xiaomi has already passed the “80 million” milestone.
With Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 sales will increase even more and the company may even hope to reach 150 million phones sold in 2017. Just to remind you, thanks to Diwali sales on Flipkart and Amazon India, the company has sold 10 million phones just in the month of September. The phone will be available in India with a price tag of Rs. 35,999 and a special preview sale will be carried out on October 17. To be accurate, the phone will be available through the official online store (Mi.com) and Flipkart.
The phone will be available only in the version with 6 GB of RAM: the special edition which is entirely made of ceramic and has 8 GB of RAM will not be available to purchase. Just to remind you, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has a 5.99 inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. Under the hood, it has an octa core Snapdragon 835 chipset by Qualcomm, running at a max frequency of 2.45 GHz. On the rear side there is a single 12 MP camera, the Sony IMX386 sensor, while frontally we got a 5 MP snapper with facial recognition. The battery has a capacity of 3400 mAh.
