New incredible real photos of Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus have been published, but they may be fake photos. Yes, because it seems that they have been edited to make the phone look much better than it is. This should be one of the cheapest phones from the next generation coming by the company, but in these photos it seems almost as good as Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. The alleged photos show both the front panel and the back side. The first sports a bezel less display with a very high screen to body ratio, and we do not believe that it will be so.
There is not even space for Android capacitive buttons, while in previous leak there was space for it even on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 which is a higher end model. Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus has a full metal unibody design in the photos, and we believe this is the only true thing showed here. On the rear side there is a dual camera setup but it seems photoshopped since the sensors look like a duplicated piece of the image. Under the dual camera there is a fingerprint reader and a dual LED flash.
We can not tell you for sure if these images are fake or not, but the chance is high. Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is expected to come with a 5 inch display showing images at a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, and not with a 18:9 aspect ratio like showed in this image. Under the hood, we expect to see either an octa core Helio P25 processor by MediaTek or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. The RAM should be 3 GB, while the internal storage should be 16 or 32 GB depending on the configuration chosen. At last, expect to see a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh and a price tag of about 114 euros in China.
