Xiaomi is close to reaching an outstanding record: 100 million phones sold in 2017. It has been disclosed that until now, the company has sold more than 80 million phones in 2017, so, saw that there are about three months left, it is sure that the company will reach the milestone. This year has been a great year for the Chinese giant, since not only it has reached the top 3 best smartphone brands in China, but it also entered the top 5 best smartphone brands in the world in terms of units sold. It seems that the main contributor to the milestone will be the Indian market, as it is the one that is registering most sales.
Just in the Diwali sales Xiaomi has sold 10 million phones in the month of September, and most of them have been sold on the online stores Amazon India and Flipkart. India has also registered the fastest sales record, as during a flash sales one million units have been sold in just 45 minutes. The most sold phone in India by the company is the Redmi Note 4, which is also the midrange with the best quality price ratio. And consider that the company does not launch a flagship in the Indian market since 2016, when Xiaomi Mi5 has been launched.
The company has just sent a press invite in which it hinted that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will come in India on October 10. This means another boom of sales for the company, as this is actually the best flagship smartphone launched until now by the Chinese giant. It has a full bezel less display with a 5.99 inches size and a Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It also has a Snapdragon 835 SoC, the best by Qualcomm, paired with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64, 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. Will the company reach 150 million units sold as well?!
