A new leaked image of Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is now showing us a very innovative design. From the image, it seems that the next midrange by the company will have a display with very narrow bezels, and we expect it will have an 18:9 aspect ratio. Together with the high screen to body ratio we got a design that is entirely made of metal, except for the antenna bands as usual. On the rear side there is a dual camera setup in a vertical configuration, and under it, there is a fingerprint reader. On the frontal panel of this alleged Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 there is no space for a Home key, while there is space for a front camera.
A display like that may make this phone be an excellent alternative to the Mi Max series, and we expect a large size, superior to 5.5 inches. Together with the image there is not any info about the specs sheet of the phone, for which we still have to rely on previous rumors. According to these, the display will sport the OLED technology and it will have a Full HD resolution with 1080 x 1920 pixels. On the hardware side, there should be an octa core Snapdragon 660 chipset by Qualcomm, which runs at a max frequency of 2.2 Ghz.
There should also be at least two hardware configurations on the market: one with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, and a cheaper one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is expected to come with a dual camera setup that will include a Sony IMX3629 sensor, with a resolution of 16 MP. At last, the battery should have a capacity of 4000 mAh and the operating system installed should be Android Nougat, customized with the MIUI 9 user interface. But for now, these are only speculations.
