Xiaomi Mi Band 2 has just been launched in a new upgraded version in India. Its name is Mi Band HRX Edition and it has been made in partnership with HRX by Hrithik Roshan, who is one of the most famous actors in India. There are various improvements in this new version of a smart band that, in case you do not know, is the most sold in the world. First of all, saw that this fitness tracker has been mainly made to monitor physical activity, in the new version there is a better tracking algorithm for more accurate measurements and monitoring of activities.
Then, Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition also has a better battery life compared with the one of its predecessor. The battery of the new smart band can last 23 days, which is more than 10 percent more over the Mi Band 2 which lasts up to 20 days. But, besides the improvements, there is also a disadvantage. The new band does not have any heart rate sensor to count your heart beats, unlike the Mi Band 2. That is why the battery life has been improved, the heart rate sensor consumed much battery. The rest of specs are the same as the standard version of the Mi Band 2.
The new Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition has a display with a size of 0.42 inches, the OLED technology and a glass that is scratch resistant. It has all the features from the Mi Band 2 except the heart rate sensor, so a pedometer, sleep tracking etc. The band is waterproof with the IP67 standard which allows to put it underwater temporarily. It can be connected to the phone and it can show notifications on its small display, for both calls and applications like WhatsApp and Facebook. The price of the new version in India is just INR 1,299, equivalent to 20 dollars.
