Xiaomi fans in India are going to be very happy as two out of three phones launched by the company in the last month are going to be sold in the peninsula: Xiaomi Mi A1 and Mi Mix 2. When the company has launched the Mi A1, which is its first phone without MIUI (it has Android One installed and it will be supported directly by Google), it has promised that it would have been made available in 37 countries all around the world. The first country has already got it: India, but with a low amount of units available.
The version of Xiaomi Mi A1 which has been made available is the one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, with a price tag of 14,999 INR (equivalent to about 195 euros). The launch price was originally 15,999 INR, so the company has decided to offer a discount. It is possible to pre-order Xiaomi Mi A1 from various stores: Xiaomi official website, Flipkart, Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, LOT, UniverCell, E-Zone and Croma. According to Flipkart the phone will start being shipped from September 19 at 12 AM.
Another phone that is coming in India besides Xiaomi Mi A1 is the latest flagship by the company: Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. According to the company’s global SVP Xiang Wang the device will land in India very soon, but the man did not give any exact date. We expect that the official launch in India will take place the next month since the festive season in India will start in October. We do not know how much Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will cost in India. At this moment we only know its price in China. Actually the base variant with 6 GB of RAM has a price tag of CNY 3,299 in China (around 505 dollars), while the 8 GB version costs 835 dollars.
