Xiaomi Mi 5X has been officially announced in a new variant. In case you do not know, we are talking about the last midrange phone by the company, which was officially announced on July 26 together with the MIUI 9. This phone had a huge success in just a few days, with more of 300,000 units purchased. Now, a new version has just been launched to fit the needs of a higher number of customers. This phone differentiates from the standard version for two details, which make it more convenient to buy, even if the standard version is already cheaper than its main rivals: Oppo R11 and Vivo X9s.
The first detail is the internal storage: while in the original Xiaomi Mi 5X there are 64 GB of internal memory, this version has 32 GB of storage. The second detail is obviously the price. This version is 30 dollars cheaper than the one actually in commerce (so 200 CNY). While the 64 GB version of the phone costs around 255 dollars, this one costs around 225 dollars (that is equivalent to 1499 CNY). It is still not a price as low as the one of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and 4X, but if we consider its design and its powerful camera it is a great price.
The rest of the specs in this new version of Xiaomi Mi 5X is exactly the same as the previous one. It has a full metal unibody design, and its display shows images at a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, with a size of 5.5 inches. Under the hood, there is an octa core Snapdragon 625 SoC by Qualcomm, running at a max frequency of 2 GHz. It is supported by 4 GB of RAM. On the rear panel, there is a dual camera setup with a resolution of 12 MP, while the battery has a capacity of 3080 mAh.
