Xiaomi Mi 5X has been officially launched on July 26 together with the MIUI 9, the new version of the user interface by the company, based on Android Nougat. Since the first flash sale, this phone focused on quality price ratio has made a great success, with more than 300,000 units sold in just a few days, and a sold out as well. Due to this huge success, the company has decided to release a new version of the phone. Many Chinese users think that 64 GB of internal storage on a phone are useless, and they prefer less storage at a lower price.
That is why the Chinese giant has decided to release a new variant of Xiaomi Mi 5X which has 32 GB of internal storage instead of 64. The new version should be made available from tomorrow 10 August, during an event named 816. This version will obviously be cheaper than the standard one with 64 GB of storage. It will cost at least 200 Yuan less, that is equivalent to about 25 euros. Probably, this version of the phone will be made available to purchase only in China and not in other countries and international stores. Indeed, this phone has been released mainly to meet the needs of Chinese customers and to beat Oppo and Vivo.
The rest of the specs of Xiaomi Mi 5X is exactly the same as the standard version. The display has a size of 5.15 inches and it shows images at a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. On the hardware side, there is an octa core Snapdragon 625 SoC by Qualcomm, running at a max frequency of 2 GHz. Together with this processor, there are 4 GB of RAM. On the back side, there is a dual camera setup with a resolution of 12 MP: the same as the Xiaomi Mi6. The battery has a capacity of 3080 mAh.
