A new powerful smartphone has just been spotted on GFXBench, one of the most famous benchmarking platform around the world. It is believed to be either the Xiaomi Mi 6c or the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2, but the most reliable hypotheses suggest it is the first one. And the info comes just a few months after the release of the Mi 5c, so do not expect a much more different phone compared to this one. The benchmarking platform GFXBench has revealed all the main specs of the phone: it will be a midrange device but it will be focused on performances, so expect neither an entry level price or a flagship price.
The alleged Xiaomi Mi 6c sports a display with a 5.1 inch size and a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Under the hood, it has an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC running at a max frequency of 2.2 Ghz: it is the best midrange SoC from Qualcomm, only the 8xx series contains better models. Together with the SoC there are whopping 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage with 50 GB free for the user.
Considered that the Mi 5c has a very good camera, we expect the same on its successor. The alleged Xiaomi Mi 6c has a camera with a 12 MP resolution capable of recording 4K videos, and an unusual 4 MP front camera. Unluckily there is no info about the battery of the phone, GFXBench never gives info about batteries. So, we can not tell you if the phone will be thin or not. Expect a full metal unibody design with this device, and also expect that it will be premium and elegant. The operating system installed on Xiaomi Mi 6c is Android 7.1.1 Nougat, customized with the latest version of the company’s user interface: MIUI 8. Do you think it is the Mi6c or the Redmi Pro 2?
