It seems that Xiaomi does not care about the fact that number 4 is the symbol of bad luck in China: Xiaomi Mi TV 4 is the new name of the new lines of flagship TVs for 2017, and they will be officially launched in China the 18th May. A new poster released hints that on May 18 there will be an official event in Beijing for the launch of the new TVs.
In case you do not remember, these TVs were already announced at CES 2017 (Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas), but there still was not a launch on the market. There will be three models of Xiaomi Mi TV 4 which will differ, first of all, for the screen sizes. The first will have a 49 inch screen, the second screen will be 55 inch and the third 65 inch.
All these models have a modular design that will allow you to replace the motherboard and other components. Thanks to the modular design it will be always possible to keep the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 up to date. They will obviously be Smart TVs, this means you will be able to use apps and to navigate the internet through you TV, via an internet connection. We already know that the 65 inch version will cost less than 2000 dollars.
