An industry insider has revealed that Xiaomi is working on a new phone, but it is a very mysterious phone because we do not know anything about it. The only thing we know is that this phone is identified with the codename MDE 2, and obviously that it will be released this year, at least according to the industry insider. But we have an idea about which phone we could be talking about. The company is expected to release three important flagships in the following month: Mi Mix 2, Mi Note 3 and Mi6 Plus: MDE 2 could be one of these phones.
Everything we know about these three Xiaomi phones was revealed by rumors, there is still no official info about them. The Mi Mix 2 is supposed to be a full bezel less phone with a screen to body ratio which will be even higher than the one we saw on its predecessor (91.3 percent). Its display may have a 6.4 inches size, 18:9 aspect ratio and a Quad HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. On the hardware side we expect an octa core Snapdragon 835 SoC by Qualcomm running at a max frequency of 2.45 Ghz, together with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 or more GB of internal storage.
Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is expected to have a curved AMOLED screen with a size of 5.7 inches and a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The same hardware as the Mi Mix 2 is expected under the hood, and we may have a battery which is much bigger than 4000 mAh. At last there is Xiaomi Mi6 Plus, which is supposed to have exactly the same design and the same specs as the standard version Mi6. What will change will be the size, with a bigger display (maybe 5.7 inches like the Mi5s Plus), and the battery which may have a capacity of 4500 mAh.
