Many leakster are talking about the Xiaomi Mi6 Plus in these days, but some rumors are now suggesting that the Xiaomi Mi 6c may also be coming, and it may be released instead of the Plus variant of the latest flagship by the company. A new teaser (which is not official) has appeared on the social network Weibo, it has been posted by a leakster together with some interesting info.
The image is teasing the arrival of the Xiaomi Surge S2. In case you do not know, the Surge S1, also known as Pinecone V670 before its release, is the first SoC made by the company. Xiaomi Mi 5c is the only phone which has been released with this SoC under the hood. The Surge S2 is obviously its successor, and it is supposed to be inside the Xiaomi Mi 6c. This phone will be the cheap version of the Mi6, unlike the Plus one which would be a more expensive one with a bigger screen and a big battery. So, together with the Surge S2, you can expect 3 or 4 GB of RAM on the hardware side.
Expect a good camera as well, since the Mi 5c has a very nice 12 MP snapper. While these are the alleged specs of the Xiaomi Mi 6c, the Mi 6 Plus is rumored to have the same specs as the standard version, except for the screen and the battery. The display is rumored to have a 5.7 inches size, showing images at a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The battery should be much bigger with a capacity of 4500 mAh. A leaked unofficial image has already shown the back cover, it is identical to the one from the Mi6, it is just bigger. So we will find a dual camera setup with a 12 MP resolution.
