Months have passed since the Mi6 flagship was launched, but we still have no official info about the Xiaomi Mi6 Plus. Rumors before the official launch of the standard version suggested that the Plus version would have arrived together with the standard one, but it was not so. And after months we still do not know for sure whether this phone will be officially launched or it has been canceled. A new photo leak is now showing us the back cover of the phone near the one of the Mi6, but it is not an official photo, so take it with a pinch of salt.
In the photo, Xiaomi Mi6 Plus looks identical to the Mi6. There is a dual camera setup on the top left corner together with a dual LED flash, the Black color, and the Mi logo. The only difference is that the back cover is bigger than the one of the Mi6. So it seems that the Plus variant will be aesthetically identical to the Mi6 except for the screen which will be bigger. According to all the rumors surfaced until now about this phone, its display will have a 5.7 inches size and it will still show images at a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
It seems that the hardware of the Xiaomi Mi6 Plus will be the same as the one of the Mi6 as well. Under the hood, there will be an octa core Snapdragon 835 SoC by Qualcomm, running at a max frequency of 2.45 Ghz. The RAM will be 6 GB and the internal storage will be either 64 or 128 GB depending on the variant you will choose to buy (with UFS 2.1 technology for fast data transfer). The only difference inside the phone would be the battery which should be bigger, with a capacity of 4500 mAh.
