Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 2 has been officially announced right after it was spotted on Jingdong Mall. The PC is a renewal of the cheap laptop series by the Chinese giants, and it brings pretty nice specs together with a price which is not so high. But let’s see all the main specs of the laptop, since now we know them all. First of all, it will have a full metal design just like the best ultrabooks on the market. It is just 14.8 mm thick and it weighs just 1.3 kg: these characteristics will make it very easy to transport wherever the user wants.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 2 is also very compact since it has a display with a size of just 13.3 inches, which shows images at a Full HD resolution. Under the hood, there is a powerful Intel Core i5 7200U Kaby Lake processor (7th generation), which makes it one of the best midrange laptops. We got 8 GB of RAM and even a dedicated graphic card: the Nvidia GeForce MX150 with 2 GB of VRAM. Two versions of this laptop will be available to purchase: one wth 128 GB of SATA SSD disk and one with a more performing PCI Express SSD which has a capacity of 256 GB.
You will able to unlock the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 2 with the smart band Xiaomi Mi Band 2, by pairing it via Bluetooth. And you will also get a fingerprint reader on the touchpad for the authentication. So, this is a notebook that has pretty nice features for security. The first pre-order of the new notebook will start on June 12, while the first shippings will start on June 18. The price tag will be 4999 Yuan, which is equivalent to about 660 euros. Surprise: there will be a variant with Intel Core i7 as well, but its price is still unknown.
